At the beginning of this year, we asked what you would write in the 12 chapters of this year. Here's some of our highlights.
As this year, this month, and this chapter of the story comes to a close, we're reflecting on some of the ways we've been able to write the story of Anglican Missions together.
We've been especially grateful for everyone who has engaged with us and our work this year. We've had some lovely notes of encouragement, helpful feedback and plenty of opportunities to learn from those around us, both within the church and the aid and development sector.
We're so excited about the response to Pray the News. This year we've been able to pray into some of the biggest situations and circumstances facing the world right now. Over 300 of you are subscribed to pray together, and we believe its making a real difference. We're looking forward to growing this resource in 2025!
As a team, we're especially excited about the Ontong Java Resilience Project in the Solomon Islands. Being trusted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade to provide safe water, agriculture and sanitation to the atoll is a real vote of confidence in our ability as an organisation. We hope you'll partner with us next year to help the people who make Ontong Java their home.
And while we may be closing off this year, its easy to forget that the world is still weary, looking for hope. We remember in this moment those around the world whose stories this year have been coloured by conflict, displacement and disasters. Remember those whose stories have been difficult this Christmas, especially those affected by the earthquake in Vanuatu.
We're hopeful for the future, and there's nowhere else we'd rather be planted than in the heart of the church, helping to put the mission of Christ into action alongside you. Thank you for being part of our story!
